You will learn about my core principles, personal values, personal goals, and three leaders that influence my leadership style. You will also be able to read an interview that I did as an older me. Hopefully you will learn how to become a leader through this blog. Enjoy!
The Me Now Interviewing The Year 2050 Me
To let you understand how I plan to live my life, I decided to interview the older me. When I mean older, I mean the year 2050 me. Here is the interview.
Young Tyette: As you reflect back on your life, what are the core values and principles that have been influential in developing your character and making decisions?
Older Tyette: As far as core values go, I definitely would have to say that a couple core values have influenced the development of my character. The most important ones have to be accountability, consistency, commitment, passion, and efficiency. These made me the person I am today because they make me remember when things get hard that I can do whatever. They kept me focused and on track. As far as principles, I would have to say that they all have, but I'll just give you one. The most important one that has helped me develop my character and helped me make decisions has to be the principle that says one should help those no matter how much they have. This principle has been used many times throughout my life in various situations, and it has never failed me so that's why it's the most important one.
YT: How would you like your family members, friends, and co-workers to describe your personal style of leadership?
OT: I would like them to describe it as self leadership. What I mean by this is that I want them to say that she did what she wanted to in order to help those that needed it. She never let anyone discourage her and never let anyone tell her that she couldn't do anything. She was a person that lead with her heart and mind, but also with knowledge and equality.
YT: What contributions or achievements have you accomplished?
OT: I've been able to lower the homeless and poverty percentage. I've also been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for my book Believe And Go After, which talks about how to lead. I hate to talk about my accomplishments because I don't do the things I do for myself to be acknowledged, I do these things to help others so that they can help others.
YT: Any last few words you would like to leave us with?
OT: Lead by example. Don't knock people down to get yourself somewhere either.
YT: Thank you.
OT: No Thank you.
3 Leaders That Have Influenced My Leadership Style
To me a leader must have certain characteristics. Leaders are charismatic, able to go against the norm, powerful in their own way, and assertive. With that being said, I've decided to give you all three leaders that have influenced my leadership style. Some of these leaders you will be familiar with from history; others, not so much. Along with the leaders, I have given you a brief reason why I consider them to be leaders. If you would like to know more about these leaders, click on their names for more information. It would be best to read more about them in order to understand why these people are leaders.
Immaculee Ilibagazia
Immaculee Ilibagazia is a leader because while she was locked in a bathroom during the genocide, she was able to teach herself how to speak English without speaking one word, but just by reading a French/English dictionary. This shows her self discipline which, in my eyes, is a very important characteristic of a leader. She also is a leader because she goes out and tells her story to others.
Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill is a leader because he lead England successfully through World War II. This was a big thing and for him to lead a whole country out a war is phenomenal.
Mahatma Ghandi
Ghandi is a leader of India who lead his nation to freedom. He has inspires many other great leaders in history and continues to through his philosophy of nonviolence.

Personal Goals
I've always made goals that I know are reachable in the future. When I make these goals, I remember that whatever you put your mind to and work hard at, you can achieve. Keep that in mind when you make goals in your life. Here are some of my personal goals that continue with the theme of leadership.
I will:
*never allow a hungry person to stay hungry if I have the necessities to feed them
*lead by example; not just by words
*teach those in poverty and those that are homeless to get themselves out of their situation
*convince others to help those in need as well
*better the world in every way I can
All the goals I have set above, will help me in tough decision making situations. As long I remember that I have these goals, when tough decisions come along I know that I will be able to choose the best option in order to continue on to achieving my goals. You definitely should keep your goals in mind when you are leading, so when you're faced with tough decisions you'll be able to make the best decision to accomplish your goals.

Personal Values
Along with core principles, you must apply your values in order to be a successful leader. Here are my personal values.
*Accountability - claiming the responsibility for my actions
*Community - making sure the community knows how to help others
*Consistency - not only telling others to do things, but being consistent with the words I speak
*Commitment - committing ti every promise I make
*Efficiency - making sure that my resources are equipped to help those that I'm attempting to help
*Respect - respecting those that don't have the same views that I have
*Passion - putting my heart and soul into each and every project I invest in
*Safety - ensuring that everyone who works with me is safe at every place they attend that involves the present project
*Knowledge - being knowledgeable of everything I attempt, so that I won't fail
When you think about your values, think about how they relate to you being a leader. How can these be used toward my leadership? How will these values be important?

My Core Principles
principle noun \ˈprin(t)-s(ə-)pəl, -sə-bəl\ - basic generalization that is accepted as true and that can be used as a basis for reasoning or conduct
As a leader, you must have core principles to help guide you along to being a successful leader. Here are a few of my core principles that I have in order to succeed as a leader.
They include the follow:
*One should help others no matter how much they have.
*One should take upon themselves the responsibility of helping others.
*There is a difference between helping and condoning. One should help others not only by giving them necessities, but also by giving them the resources they need in order to help themselves.
These core principles have and will influence my actions and my belief systems. It has made me a better person and has made me want to help everyone that I can. I already believe that if you can, you should help those that need it in anyway possible. In the future, I definitely will continue on with these principles.
