To me a leader must have certain characteristics. Leaders are charismatic, able to go against the norm, powerful in their own way, and assertive. With that being said, I've decided to give you all three leaders that have influenced my leadership style. Some of these leaders you will be familiar with from history; others, not so much. Along with the leaders, I have given you a brief reason why I consider them to be leaders. If you would like to know more about these leaders, click on their names for more information. It would be best to read more about them in order to understand why these people are leaders.
Immaculee Ilibagazia
Immaculee Ilibagazia is a leader because while she was locked in a bathroom during the genocide, she was able to teach herself how to speak English without speaking one word, but just by reading a French/English dictionary. This shows her self discipline which, in my eyes, is a very important characteristic of a leader. She also is a leader because she goes out and tells her story to others.
Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill is a leader because he lead England successfully through World War II. This was a big thing and for him to lead a whole country out a war is phenomenal.
Mahatma Ghandi
Ghandi is a leader of India who lead his nation to freedom. He has inspires many other great leaders in history and continues to through his philosophy of nonviolence.
